Duffy Votes to Keep Government Open and Stop Obamacare

Location: Washington, DC

In a bipartisan vote, the House of Representatives passed a measure today that would keep the government open and stop Obamacare. After casting his vote in favor of the Continuing Resolution, U.S. Congressman Sean Duffy (WI-07) offered the following comments:

"Obamacare could cause premiums to increase by as much as 77% for some in our district. This is fundamentally a terrible law. If Obamacare is not dismantled it has the potential to devastate Wisconsin businesses, cost Wisconsin jobs, and that is going to have a huge impact on Wisconsin families."

Rep. Duffy reinforced his firm belief that the Senate must act: "Congress should avoid a government shutdown, but we must continue the fight to stop Obamacare. The House has taken on this battle dozens of times, now it is the Senate's turn. I am hopeful that our Conservative colleagues in the Senate will do as they have promised, take up the battle and stand strong."
