Location: Washington, DC
Issues: Defense

Congressman Robert Aderholt (AL-04) released the following statement regarding the latest developments on the Syria situation:

"After hearing the President's speech last night, I still remained concerned about moving forward against Syria and the Assad regime. While the use of chemical weapons is certainly something that the world condemns, there are still many questions that go unanswered. However, it is my hope and prayer that a peaceful and diplomatic solution will be successful and that Syria's chemical weapons stockpile will be removed."

Aderholt currently serves as Chairman of the Subcommittee on Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration and Related Agencies for the powerful House Appropriations Committee, is a member of the Committee's Commerce, Justice and Science; and Homeland Security Subcommittees, and also serves on the Helsinki Commission.
