Hi, I'm Ted Cruz and this is the Freedom Minute
Happy Constitution Day!
In honor of this day, I'd like to share a memorization trick that I learned for remembering Article 1, Section 8 of the Constitution -- the enumerated powers of Congress.
All you need to do is remember TCC-NCC-PCC pawn momma wren.
It sounds funny but here is how it works:
TCC stands for: "Taxes," "Credit," "Commerce."
NCC for: "Naturalization," "Coinage," "Counterfeiting."
PCC for: "Post Office," "Copyright," "Courts."
Pawn for: "Piracy," "Army," "War," "Navy."
Momma for: "Militia" and "Money for militia."
And wren for: "Washington DC," "Rules," and "Necessary and proper."
Try it yourself and share it with your friends. TCC-NCC-PCC pawn momma wren.
If everybody knew the enumerated powers, maybe Congress would follow them.
Thanks for listening. I'm Ted Cruz and this is the Freedom Minute.
