Horsford Statement on the 50th Anniversary of the March on Washington

Today, Representative Steven Horsford (NV-4) released the following statement on the 50th anniversary of the March on Washington:

"The March on Washington was one of the largest and most important events in the movement for civil rights in our country. Today's anniversary is a stark reminder that our work is not complete, and that today is not just a commemoration, but a continuation of the efforts for justice and equality. We have made remarkable progress since 1963 because of the tenacity of civil rights, religious, and labor leaders across the country. We still have much work to do to address disparities that affect minority communities, from improving access to education, job training, and healthcare to reforming our criminal justice system to protect the rights and freedoms of all Americans. The 50th anniversary of the March reminds us that our work is not yet done and that we must fight on."
