Representative Todd Rokita released the following statement in remembrance of the 50th Anniversary of the historic March on Washington, led by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. in 1963.
"Fifty years ago, Martin Luther King, Jr. and hundreds of thousands of supporters marched on Washington daring to dream of a better world for us all. That dream is still alive today and is more and more a reality with each passing year. We must continue to honor Dr. King's life by striving to rise above the bitterness and hatred of our past, so that all men and women have the freedom to aspire to the greatest of heights."
