DeLauro Opposes 40th Attempt To Repeal Or Undermine Health Protections

Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro (D-CT) today opposed the 40th attempt to repeal or undermine the landmark health protections established by the Affordable Care Act. Legislation before the House of Representatives would end the ability of people nationwide to receive tax credits to pay for coverage. DeLauro is a longtime advocate for affordable, comprehensive, quality health care.

"This legislation would cripple the ability of Americans nationwide to pay for health care, undermining the health and economic security of the middle class. A vote for this bill is a vote to put insurance companies back in charge of Americans' health. I wish my colleagues would spend as much time working on growing the middle class as they do holding pointless votes and posturing. Enough is enough. Let us stop the political games and act now to put people back to work.
