Cassidy Protests Obamacare Money For Planned Parenthood

Today, Congressman Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) sent a letter to Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius protesting the Obama Administration's decision to fund Planned Parenthood's efforts to promote Obamacare. He released the following statement:

"Every federal dollar that goes to Planned Parenthood, regardless of its stated purpose, offsets their costs to provide abortions. It's a shell game encouraged by the President and Senate Democrats. They should not force taxpayers to fund services to which many object, especially with more Americans identifying as pro-life. That principle must be embraced on Capitol Hill."
