U.S. Rep. Harold "Hal" Rogers released the following statement in response to President Obama's economic speech today in Illinois:
"What America needs right now is more jobs, not more repetitious speeches full of ideas that are costing the middle class their 40-hour work weeks and higher health care premiums. It was great to hear the President say he "will not let more inaction get in our way." Mr. President, we agree, it's time for action. It's time to save small businesses and individuals from the unaffordable, unworkable ObamaCare plan; it's time to build the Keystone pipeline; it's time to end the war on coal across the Appalachian region; and it's time to stop pushing an agenda that pulls more taxes out of paychecks. We need jobs, Mr. President, not more bankrupt cities and families."
