Dear Friend,

I want to highlight my recent efforts to push for comprehensive immigration reform and suggestions on how you can get help with your student loans.

Immigration Reform

Last week I was so honored to speak at an immigration rally. America is a nation of immigrants. Today, over 11 million people are living in the shadows, without documentation or official status. We need comprehensive immigration reform that is humane, focused on keeping families together, and gives men, women and children the opportunity to pursue their American dreams.

Student Loans

If Congress doesn't act by July 1st, student loan interest rates will double, making college less affordable for millions of American students. I am committed to keep fighting on the side of students. We must keep college affordable and not burden students and their families with higher interest payments on their loans.
