Statement

On July 1, student loan interest rates are set to double from 3.4% to 6.8% unless Congress takes action to keep rates low. I believe we need a bipartisan solution that will help students and their families afford to pursue higher education. With only one week until rates double, we must take action as soon as possible.

As I continue to highlight the need for Congress to take action, I encourage you to visit my Facebook page to share how a doubling of student loan interest rates could impact you and your family if Congress cannot come to agreement on a solution:
