Congresswoman Robin Kelly released the following statement in response to the passage of SB2193 in the Illinois House:

"I am extremely disappointed that the Illinois House passed this bill. Overriding Chicago's assault weapons ban and other local gun laws is irresponsible and dangerous and leaves cities defenseless in their fight against gun violence," Rep. Kelly said. "I urge the Illinois Senate to vote this bill down."
