"I am profoundly concerned about the allegations that government agencies have been secretly collecting the communication records of American citizens for the past several years. This is one of the prime reasons I have consistently opposed the Patriot Act: basic inalienable civil rights, such as freedom of speech and protection of personal privacy are sacred, and shouldn't exist under a cloud of government surveillance."
