Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro (D-CT) released the following statement today on the passing of New Jersey Senator Frank Lautenberg:

"Today marks the end of an era with the passing of Senator Frank Lautenberg, the last World War II veteran serving in the Senate. He was a true hero, working for the American people's best interests in a wide range of issues, including protecting public health, especially that of women, transportation safety, and preventing gun violence. It was an honor to have Frank's support dating back to my first run for Congress, and I treasured his friendship. My condolences are with his family, staff, and everyone in New Jersey; he will be missed."
