"Senator Lautenberg was a dedicated public servant who was committed to making our country a better place on behalf of all Americans. As the last World War II veteran in the Senate, his leadership earned the respect of his colleagues on both sides of the aisle. My thoughts and prayers are with his family during this difficult time."
