Congressman Steve Daines today released the following statement in response to the recent admission that the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) intentionally targeted conservative grassroots organizations with IRS investigations:
"Recent actions by the IRS are unacceptable and demonstrate an outrageous violation of the American people's trust. Intentionally and unfairly targeting any group based on their beliefs or political views is completely inexcusable. It is imperative that the IRS and all those responsible for this abuse of power are held accountable. I support a full investigation of these IRS practices and will fight to ensure the American people receive the answers they deserve."
