Rokita: Thatcher Was "A Champion for Free Markets and Individual Liberty'

U.S. Rep. Todd Rokita today issued the following statement on the passing of former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher:
"Margaret Thatcher was a courageous leader, a champion for free markets and individual liberty, and a true ally of the United States. I and many other conservatives were inspired by her partnership with President Reagan to confront and defeat the greatest evil of their time -- communism -- and we mourn her passing. Lady Thatcher's life is a reminder that knowing what you believe and staying true to those convictions can transform a society, and indeed, the entire world," said Rokita.
