U.S. Congressman Marlin Stutzman issued the following statement today on the passing of former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher.

"Freedom lost a courageous leader today. Lady Thatcher was a champion for free markets, limited government and individual liberty. She stood with President Reagan in staring down communism and made our world more free and prosperous as a result. Americans owe a great debt of gratitude to the Iron Lady for her friendship, loyalty to principle and determination to make Great Britain and the world a better place."
