Statement

Date: March 21, 2013
Location: Washington, DC

Today, Rep. Dave Joyce voted for a Continuing Resolution to keep the government operating, avoiding a government shutdown:

"I'm pleased to be part of the bipartisan effort to avert a government shutdown and avoid another manufactured crisis coming out of Washington. This bill forces Washington to be more accountable and responsible. The simple truth is this: America can't afford to spend like it has. The people of Northeast Ohio are sick and tired of partisan bickering and deserve a government that is more accountable and responsible."

The Continuing Resolution passed by a vote of 318-109.
