Rep. Ami Bera led an hour-long discussion on the House of Representatives floor earlier this evening on the importance of strengthening and protecting Medicare. The Ryan Budget, which would end Medicare as we know it, will come up for a vote in Congress tomorrow. Bera shared stories about how Medicare has helped his constituents in Sacramento County, his former patients, and his family. He also invited other members to share their Medicare stories.
