Today, U.S. Senator Patty Murray released the following statement after a U.S. Navy aircraft was downed in Eastern Washington.

"My thoughts and prayers are with the families of the crew involved in this morning's incident, and with all military families who deal with the dangers their loved ones risk to serve our country.

"My office is in touch with officials at Naval Air Station Whidbey Island and across the state to assist in any way possible."
