Today, Congressman Marc Veasey released the following statement following the American Airlines-U.S. Airways merger:

"I applaud today's merger announcement. American Airlines is a key Metroplex employer and the American Airlines-U.S. Airways merger means both companies will continue employing people in Dallas and Fort Worth. This was a deal that both management and labor worked on, and it's a win for everyone involved."
