Congressman Gary Peters Earns Important House Leadership Assignment

Today U.S. Congressman Gary Peters announced that he was selected to join the Democratic Whip Team as a Senior Whip in the 113th Congress. As a member of Democratic Whip Steny Hoyer's leadership team, Peters will work hard every day to advance policies to strengthen our economy by growing the middle-class.

"Congressman Gary Peters proved himself to be a highly effective leader by delivering real results for Michigan's auto industry when it mattered most," said Democratic Whip Steny Hoyer. "Gary has been a key ally in our "Make It In America' agenda and that's why I've asked him to serve as a Senior Whip in the 113th Congress.
