Griffin: Tax Code Places "Unconscionable' Burden on Taxpayers, Must Be Reformed

Congressman Tim Griffin (AR-02), a member of the House Committee on Ways and Means, issued the following statement regarding the National Taxpayer Advocate's 2012 Annual Report to Congress:

"This report underscores the urgent need for comprehensive, commonsense tax reform. The IRS has confirmed what most Americans already know too well: our tax code holds back economic growth by imposing a "significant, even unconscionable, burden on taxpayers.' I'll continue fighting for a simpler, fairer and flatter tax system that broadens the base, encourages growth and helps create jobs."
