Statement of Congresswoman Tammy Baldwin on the resignation of Secretary Thompson from HHS
"Secretary Thompson has dedicated much of his life to service to his state and his country. In his years as Secretary of Health and Human Services, he remained a strong advocate and ally for Wisconsin. His behind-the-scenes work on stem cell research was critically important to the advance of our efforts to fight disease. Despite our partisan differences, I consider Tommy Thompson a friend and wish him well as he enters this next phase of his career."
