Shaheen Statement on Kerry Nomination to Secretary of State

U.S. Senator Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) released the following statement today in response to the nomination by President Obama of Senator John Kerry (D-MA) to serve as the next United Sates Secretary of State.
"Senator Kerry carries tremendous international qualifications and has proven himself time and again as a strong leader for our country," Shaheen said. "Having had the opportunity to work closely with him as a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, I have the utmost confidence in Senator Kerry to serve our country well as our next Secretary of State."
