Today, over 50% of America's electricity comes from the use of domestic coal. This can be read about here. As new technologies are created and enacted, this will likely decrease in the future, but until then, Daniel is for the safe development of coal. Daniel would rather have Americans reap the benefits of coal, including creating the jobs to mine, ship, process and sell coal, than purchase it from a less environmentally conscious country.
Daniel has lived in and traveled across different States and Countries. All of his traveling experience has lead him to realize that Montana isn't just the last best place due to its open spaces, but is also one of the last free places in the modernized world. Daniel believes that our state should be a model of how a responsible yet free culture can thrive in today's world, especially with today's demand for Montana's natural resources. Daniel believes that by removing inappropriate small business codes and regulations, while safely taking advantage of the current energy boom, Montana's economy will have the ideal opportunity to rise to the top.
