VMRC Denies Permit for King William Reservoir
Governor Mark R. Warner today issued the following statement on the vote by the Virginia Marine Resources Commission to deny the permit for the proposed King William Reservoir.
"Throughout this process, I have allowed the scientists and regulatory professionals to evaluate the King William reservoir proposal without interference. This is an issue that has received years of study and debate. The VMRC hearing process allowed both sides to fully air their positions."
