Issue Position

Even before he became a Saugus Selectman, Donald was a champion of Public Safety. Donald Wong worked in his community to help curb crime through his active involvement and participation in the Neighborhood Crime Watch and Saugus Speaks Out, a grassroots anti-drug organization. And as a Selectman, Donald was at the forefront in the fight against crime by successfully negotiating a police substation at the local mall, and it was through his untiring efforts that the mall donated a police cruiser to the town, thereby freeing up valuable resources for the town.

Donald will continue to work to keep firehouses open while ensuring that funding for our firefighters is maintained throughout the Commonwealth. Donald also identified and secured funding to purchase defibrillators for the fire department to use to save lives in emergency situations.
