Issue Position

I would like to reform the recall process so that Wisconsin's municipalities and citizens aren't strapped with the high cost of unscheduled recall elections. These election costs are unbudgeted and unnecessary. The Greenville town board has said it needed at least $14,000.00 that is not budgeted to pay for the recall elections. Throughout the state, about 10 million dollars was being spent on the recalls. We should change the state constitution to require that recalls can only occur with proper cause, i.e. an illegal act.
