SCHUMER SECURES OVER $1 MILLION FOR NEW SCHOOL OF PHARMACY AT ST. JOHN FISHER COLLEGE

Funding included in the FY05 Omnibus Appropriations bill

Funds will go towards technology, curriculum development and training for the School of Pharmacy

US Senator Charles E. Schumer today announced that Congress passed the FY2005 Omnibus Appropriations bill which included $1,050,000 for technology, curriculum development and training at the St. John Fisher College School of Pharmacy. The funding was included in the Labor, Health and Human Services Appropriations portion of the bill. The bill then heads to the President for his signature.

"Its so important that the communities of the Rochester/Finger Lakes area have access to smart, well educated pharmacists, and this new school at St. John Fisher is going to produce some of the best and brightest pharmacists to meet the needs of the community," Schumer said. "St. John Fisher has a long tradition of high quality education and I know that this funding for their new School of Pharmacy will mean great things for their students."
