In April, Michael and his colleagues approved comprehensive legislation that provides cities and towns with various tools to help achieve cost-savings in the midst of unprecedented fiscal challenges. The legislation, which is in its final stages awaiting passage, will give local governments the ability to regionalize services, share resources, and provide added tools to collect delinquent taxes.
