SCHUMER SECURES $370,000 FOR SONNENBERG MANSION AND GARDEN IN CANANDAIGUA
Funding part of FY 2005 Omnibus Appropriations Bill
Federal Funding part of the Save America's Treasures grant program
US Senator Charles E. Schumer today that Congress has passed the FY2005 Omnibus Appropriations bill which includes a $370,000 Save America's Treasures grant for the Sonnenberg Mansion and Garden in Canandaigua. The funding is included in the Interior Appropriation section of the bill. The bill will then be sent to the President for his signature.
"Sonnenberg Mansion and Garden is a beautiful part of Canandiagua's rich history. We have to act now to ensure that this popular tourist destination is around for generations of New Yorkers to come,"Schumer said. "This grant is coming at just the right time and will enable us to preserve this landmark for the residents and visitors of the Finger Lakes area."
