"We must fully support and fund education, the state constitution states so, our children deserve it and the state supreme court has ruled that basic education must be fully funded by 2018."

a. I am against efforts to balance the state budget by going after education dollars set aside for school districts. Levy equalization must be preserved.

b. We must be committed to properly funded schools however; we must seek our school districts (and elected school boards) to be fiscally conservative with their budgets.

c. We must reward our valuable teachers and respect their hard work conversely, we must also encourage our teachers to look for new, innovative, and dynamic ways to teach and improve student success.

d. Lastly, we must foster and encourage parental involvement in children's education. They are the most powerful force in their child's life and we must support them and embrace all education options; Public, Private, and Home school networks.
