Georgia's teachers and students deserve better. Within the last four years more than four billion dollars were cut, more than four thousand teachers lost their jobs, two thirds of the school systems had to shorten their school year, teacher work days have been furloughed, and Hope scholarships have been restructured. Now the state of Georgia is conspiring to take billions more out of the school system in the name of charter schools. This has got to stop! Without the proper education, Georgians will not be able to compete in this global world.
