Chuck Hufstetler makes this promise to the people of the 52nd. As our state senator, he will judge every piece of legislation by the U.S. Constitution, the Georgia Constitution, and his promises to the people. He is committed to reading every piece of legislation before voting on it. If it will cause a breach between these constitutions or his covenant with the people of the 52nd, he will not vote for that legislation. While all portions of the U.S. Constitution are important, none comes under attack each year in the General Assembly more than the Second Amendment. As a member of the NRA and a gun-owner himself, Hufstetler is committed to defending our right to bear arms.
