Providing for national security

I know that in the face of a foreign threat every option must be on the table, beginning with diplomacy, and right through the use of military force. However, we cannot continue to enter into unfunded, costly wars with undefined goals -- particularly in the face of the budget crisis. One threat we currently face is the prospect of a nuclear-armed Iran, which is a threat to our ally Israel, the U.S. and the world. Further, I firmly believe that Congress must exercise its intended constitutional role before the Nation is committed to conflict.
