Today U.S. Senator John Cornyn (R-TX), a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, released the following statement on the 225th anniversary of the signing of the Constitution:
"September 17th is a day not only of commemoration and reverence for our country's founders but also one that informs and reminds us to renew our common resolve in upholding their vision. Today we reflect on the Constitution to inspire and educate our children about the perpetual narrative of our Republic."
Senator Cornyn serves on the Finance, Judiciary, Armed Services and Budget Committees. He serves as the top Republican on the Judiciary Committee's Immigration, Refugees and Border Security subcommittee. He served previously as Texas Attorney General, Texas Supreme Court Justice, and Bexar County District Judge.
