Tax Cuts

Statement

Date: Sept. 11, 2012
Issues: Taxes

Mitt Romney has proposed $5 trillion in new tax cuts favoring the wealthiest Americans, but he has refused to name even one tax loophole or deduction he'd close to pay for it. Nonpartisan analysis shows the Romney-Ryan plan would raise taxes by $2,041 a year for the average middle-class family.

The tired Republican notion that tax cuts for the wealthy will cure all has been proven wrong time and time again, and it is the wrong choice to make this November.
