Issue Position

For 20 years, I was a patrolman and detective for the Fall River Police Department. I have seen the effects of crime on the quality of life of the residents of the city. In order to attract new businesses, grow our economy, and improve our reputation as a family-friendly community, we must focus on our public safety issues. As your Representative, I will be focused on securing the necessary funds to insure that Fall River keeps a strong public safety workforce.

I've had a long history of dedicated service to the community in the areas of child abuse prevention and providing essential services to senior citizens and the Portuguese community. I've had vast experience serving the underserved, and my experience has prepared me very well to serve another underserved community -- the residents of Fall Rivers South End, 7th Bristol District.
