Issue number one must be education. An educated and skilled workforce, along with a strong and diverse economic infrastructure, are necessary to move Fall River forward. Fall River used to be a progressive leader in the area of education. It was the first city in Massachusetts to provide textbooks to its public school students. Fall River was also an industrial giant that provided many hard-working immigrants the promise of a better future.
I want to see Fall River be a leader in these areas once again and be a city where its best and brightest can realize their dreams instead of a city its best and brightest abandon.
