Issue Position

Massachusetts has already voted to establish casino gaming in our state. Joan will support efforts to ensure that:

- Any casino complex constructed at Suffolk Downs will be required to improve not worsen highway traffic from the North Shore to Boston.
- Increased tax revenues from gaming will be used to help cities and towns keep tax rates stable.
- North Shore tourism and general businesses will benefit indirectly from gaming north of Boston.
