Pete Sessions Statement on the Family Research Council Shooting

Statement

U.S. Congressman Pete Sessions (R-Dallas), a Member of House Republican Leadership, today released the following statement in response to the shooting at the Family Research Council in Washington, DC:

"My thoughts and prayers go out to Leo Johnson, the security guard that was shot today, and his family. I wish him a speedy recovery and commend him on his bravery to protect his colleagues at the Family Research Council. I am always deeply saddened when Americans use violence to express opposition to differing views, and it is my hope that the shooter will be held responsible for his violent actions."
