Lois Frankel Wins Democratic Primary Election

Tonight, congressional candidate and former West Palm Beach Mayor Lois Frankel won a decisive victory in the Democratic primary election for Florida's 22nd Congressional District.

"I'm humbled and honored by the confidence the citizens of Palm Beach and Broward have shown in me today. Starting tomorrow, I will be running a strong campaign against Adam Hasner. Together, we're going to get South Florida working again, creating jobs and revitalizing the economy. We're going to protect and strengthen Medicare. And we're going to break through the gridlock in Washington and get Congress working for the middle class again," said Frankel.

"Adam Hasner is exactly why Washington isn't working. Middle class families are worrying about paying for gas and groceries. Kitchen table stuff. And larger things too, like sending their kids to college and saving for retirement. Adam Hasner would end the Medicare so many seniors depend on here in Florida," said Frankel.

With 80% of precincts reporting, Frankel took over 60% of the vote, and AP called the election for her.
