SCHUMER ANNOUNCES FEDERAL ASSISTANCE HEADED TO CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY FOR MASSIVE STORM DAMAGE FROM HURRICANE FRANCIS

After Hurricane Francis' storms caused significant damage to homes, businesses, roads and bridges, Schumer pushed feds to approve the request for assistance & send it immediately

Schumer announces that FEMA will send assistance to Chautauqua County to improve roads, bridges, and public facilities
US Senator Charles E. Schumer today announced that federal officials have notified him that assistance will be sent to Chautauqua county to help them recover from the severe damage from a series of brutal storms that hit in August and September.

"You can't prevent natural disasters from happening, but we can help victims recover from them," Schumer said. "Chautauqua County has been hit hard this season with rains and flooding and it seems like this time around it just kept coming. We have to get money to the emergency workers, localities, residents, and farmers who've been impacted most. And we need to get it to them now."
