Ruben is a consistent advocate for children at the state capitol. He has fought to hold public safety officials accountable for prosecuting sex offenders and child molesters, and regularly sends out district-wide community alerts notifying parents about at-large predators. Additionally, Ruben has fought to protect First Things First, the program that helps ensure that low and moderate-income children have access to quality medical care, educational opportunities, and family support.
