Ruben is committed to Arizona's economic recovery, and to bringing career jobs to our state. Last legislative session, Ruben fought for equitable taxation for the University of Phoenix, the district's largest employer, securing the university's presence here and the jobs it creates in our community for years to come. Representative Gallego has also worked with local non-profits to put on two successful job fairs for district residents, and frequently meets with executives from out-of-state companies, encouraging them to bring or expand their businesses to Arizona. Additionally, Ruben is a vocal supporter of the Loop 202 extension, which would not only create jobs during the construction period, but would also bring a new hospital, shopping, restaurants, and other resources to the community.
