Issue Position

The State needs to institute a program among its employees that will first, encourage them to cut costs in their own departments and secondly, to report abuses, redundancy, and needless "red tape". The State employees are tremendous assets to the people of Florida but sometimes, due to new and old laws conflicting, internal procedures, or simply doing things they way they've always been done, it becomes more difficult to get the job done. State employees should be rewarded for discovering abuses or waste just as they would be in a private company.

Smarter and effective government is what Floridians deserve.
