As a Torrance School Board member, Al Muratsuchi had to make many tough decisions when the state cut almost a quarter of the school district's funding. But his leadership kept Torrance schools fiscally sound, and his district is one of the best in the state for spending dollars in the classroom rather than on administration. Torrance schools continue to excel, with student test scores increasing every year that Al has served on the school board. Al's proven that he can make tough fiscal decisions without sacrificing our students' education, and that's why teachers endorse Al for Assembly.
