Statement From Representative Hochul On USOC Policy Change, Olympic Uniforms To Be Made In USA By Next Olympic Games

Representative Kathy Hochul (NY-26) released the following statement in response to reports that the U.S. Olympic Committee will change its policy so that U.S. Olympic uniforms are made in the USA by the next Olympics, in 2014:

"Despite the fact that this year our athletes will not have the opportunity to dress in uniforms made in the USA, I am pleased the U.S. Olympic Committee and Ralph Lauren have committed to American-made uniforms by the next Olympics in 2014."

"Today is a victory for the American spirit, American industry, and Team USA. Moving forward, I wish our Western New York Olympians and all of Team USA the best of luck."
