Issue Position

Americans deserve responsible health care reform that lowers costs and offers greater access to affordable health care. Across the country, families are being forced to choose between paying their medical bills, covering normal expenses or falling into debt. This cannot continue, and the rising cost of healthcare is becoming a national crisis.

Affordable and effective health care is a key component of a sustainable and high-wage workforce -- without healthy employees and an improved quality of life overall economic strength is at risk.

I support common sense solutions for healthcare to ensure that all Americans have access to the coverage they need, when they need it, at a price they can afford. When it comes to health care decisions, government should ever come between you and your doctor, and if you are happy with your current plan, you should be able to keep it.

ObamaCare has only made the problems with the current health care plan worse, and will drive the US Government further into debt. In addition, this plan continues to threaten thousands of American jobs with rising costs and premiums.

President Obama's health care program imposes unfunded mandates on individuals and businesses and significantly raises costs across the board. American employers and workers cannot afford to take on additional financial burdens at this critical point.

I strongly support any action to de-fund and repeal President Obama's health care legislation.
